Welcome the New Thai Prime Minister!

What a great day to be a Thai! Finally, the day has come!

The Thai parliament has elected the new Thai Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva or Mark, the leader of the opposition party, Democratic party. Obviously, his election drew anger from Thaksin Sinawatra’s supporters.

As an anti-Thaksin supporter, I am very happy that the parliament has seen the light. I hope that the new Thai Prime Minister can help Thai economy and unite Thailand again. Thaksin has damaged Thailand so much to the point where Thai people are no longer united.

Pro-Thaksin suppoters, see the light and get out of the Thaksin’s evil scheme.

Welcome Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva! I wish you the best of luck!

Iraqi Reporter Throw Shoes at Bush

What a nice way to end George W. Bush presidency!

President Bush visited Iraq unannounced this morning. While he and the Iraqi prime minister were holding a news conference, an Iraqi reporter threw his pair of shoes at President Bush.

The shoes was a size 10.  Throwing shoes at someone is considered to be an insult in Muslim cultures according to CNN report.

I have to say that it was a priceless movement. After what Bush had done in Iraq, I think he deserves it. That Iraqi reporter is the man. You have my respect. I just wish that many Americans can that to Bush too. Trust me, everyone is angry at this man.

Here is the clip. If you can’t see it, click here

The Most Corrupt State in U.S

Many people think U.S is the most democratic nation in the world, I would like to to point out that it is not the case. We can see it through the recent news scandal in Illinois.

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff, John Harris are accused of corruption charges. They were arrested and later was released on bonds. According to various news sources, the Department of Justice alleged the Illinois governor attempted to sell the senate seat which was previously held by Barack Obama.

Corruption in the US is nothing new. It’s just people don’t talk about it very often. Plus, it a huge shame that the “most democratic” nation and the world’s superpower would so such a thing. But, face it. It’s true.

If you think Illinois is most corrupted state in the U.S, you are wrong. The most corrupt state in the U.S is North Dakota.

USA Today did an analysis on this topic based on per capital basis. North Dakota population is  639,715. 53 were convicted on corruption. That means, 8 people are convincted on this crime for every 100,000 residents.

It’s very surprising that North Dakota gets this title. I thought it was Louisana. However, it is the second most corrupt state in the country.
