Iraqi Reporter Throw Shoes at Bush

What a nice way to end George W. Bush presidency!

President Bush visited Iraq unannounced this morning. While he and the Iraqi prime minister were holding a news conference, an Iraqi reporter threw his pair of shoes at President Bush.

The shoes was a size 10.  Throwing shoes at someone is considered to be an insult in Muslim cultures according to CNN report.

I have to say that it was a priceless movement. After what Bush had done in Iraq, I think he deserves it. That Iraqi reporter is the man. You have my respect. I just wish that many Americans can that to Bush too. Trust me, everyone is angry at this man.

Here is the clip. If you can’t see it, click here

Bush, How Much More Do You Want?

From: Theocracywatch.org

It seems the Bush administration doesn’t want to end the war anytime soon.

President Bush has asked for $42.3 billion in addition to a request of $147 billion  for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This brings the 2008 request for war funding to $189.3 billion.

It is clear that the president is out of touch with the reality. No matter how much money the U.S is willing to spend for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the violence in those country will not stop. Situations there will not get any better unless the U.S sends a strong message to leaders in those countries to get their acts together.

I don’t want taxpayers money to go to waste. The Bush administration has spent enough money onto these wars.  It is time for politicians to spend money in the right place and end the wars.

The New Bin Laden tape Is Out…

We don’t have to wait until September 11th anymore.

The tape is out. What Bin Laden said on the video was pretty much close to what I predict last night. Basically, he invited the Americans to convert to Muslims which is unlikely to happen because there are churches in every corner of the U.S. Bin Laden talked about the war in Iraq that it is part of the war against extremists. At the same time, he said the war in Iraq was unjust. That sentence alone has made Bush look bad, right? Even Bin Laden doesn’t even support for the war in Iraq. This means, this guy knows Bush went on the war in the wrong place and should not have attacked in Iraq.

Clearly, this tape has prove the fail of President Bush’s policy. Bin Laden is still alive and yet we are going onto war in Iraq in which Bin Laden doesn’t hide there. Perhaps, it is time for the President to focus on the war in Afghanistan not Iraq.

The New Bin Laden Tape Is Coming Out on 9/11/07

Have you ever wondered what Osama Bin Laden will say on his new tape?

According to the CNN report, Bin Laden is planning to release a new video on Tuesday September 11 2007 which is the sixth year anniversary of the tragedy on the U.S soil.  Many news networks are expecting Bin Laden’s new tape would be nothing more than a propaganda. It would also be a slap in Bush’s face that the War on terror is not successful because the U.S hasn’t been  able to catch this man because of a useless, waste of time war in Iraq.

Here is my prediction on his upcoming tape (However, I can be wrong): Bin Laden will more likely to say that he is planning to attack the U.S soil again and that Bush will never catch him (which is true, come to think about the fact that Bush has less than 500 days in the White House).   He will probably mention about the new U.S President and call for more radical Muslims to work for Al-Qaeda. Now, let me turn the floor to you, what do you think Bin Laden will say on his new tape?

The U.S war on terrorism could pass 1 trillion dollars

What would you do with one trillion dollars?

According to the recent report by MSNBC, the price for war on terrorism which includes the war in Iraq could surpass one trillion dollar. Many critics agree that the cost of it, is higher than they expected.  So far, the United States has spent 611 billion dollars for the war on terror. This includes 567 billion dollars for the war in Iraq alone, Worldnews reports. By the end of 2007, the cost of the war on terrorism will reach to one trillion dollar mark.

Another study by Ivy league professors’ Columbia University economist Joseph E Stiglitz and Harvard lecturer Linda Bilmes predicts the total cost of the war on terrorism especially the war in Iraq will cost up to 2 trillion dollars, the Age reports.

The actual cost of the war will always be unknown. What all Americans know is that this war is unlikely to end anytime soon despite the Democrat’s effort to terminate it. One trillion dollars can be used in various areas from education, health care to immigration. The Americans will always be unhappy until the war is over. More soldiers will die and more mothers will be demanding for answer.

The Democrats did not fail, they just do what’s right.

Last night, the Congress passed a bill that would continue to fund the war in Iraq. Many anti-war bloggers have been criticized all night as to how the Democratic party failed them. If they have the time to think about the bill for a second, maybe these critics change their mind.

This bill is an emergency bill that would provide about 100 billion dollars for funding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan through Sept. 30, the end of the 2007 fiscal year. Aside from this, it approved to increase the minimum wage from 5. 15 dollars to about 7.25 an hour and along with 20 billion dollars in domestic spending. Overall, the bill sets a some sort of a timeline  for the Bush administration to come up with the new strategy for the wars by September. Also, it sets a condition for the Iraqi government must meet, however, the bill does not specifically explain what the conditions are. While many anti-war voters feel disappointed with the Democrats, I would say that the party is doing what is right for the country, which is supporting our troops. Through the eyes of politicians, would you like it if the American troops are fighting in Iraq with proper funds and equipment? This bill put the Democrats in a tough position; to support the troops or listen to their voters.

As much as I against the War in Iraq and want the troops to get out there so badly, this bill gives 4 months for President Bush to come up with the new strategy on how to deal with the war in Iraq. He knows that the Americans are frustrated. It is his last chance to prove to Americans and the rest of the world that he is competent leader (which I don’t think he is in the first place). I believe the Democrats are still pushing for a time line of troop withdrawal agenda. Trust me, expect to hear from the Democrats soon after this.

This time, they lost because the Republicans supports it. Believe me, they will make a great come back from this.

Bush supporters, what are you thinking?

For the past few days, I have been reading conservatives’ and Bush supporters’ blogs about their views on Iraq. I have to say that it was an interesting experience to me. Start reading from the first line to the end, I wondered if these Bush supporters are into Bush’s propaganda.

Based on my experience, I think they are. Nowhere in their blogs mentioned about Bush’s misleading American on going into the War in Iraq because of the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs). Instead, they blamed on the intelligence reports. Some of them even praised Bush for taking down Saddam out of power. For months before we signed onto the war, Bush kept saying Saddam had powerful WMDs. Now, he doesn’t even want to talk about why he went into war in the first place. Why is that? My guess is that he’s ashamed for letting the country and his supporters down. However, he is so stubborn.

How can Bush have the nerve to link Iraq to Al-Qaeda? Before the war started, many intelligence reports I heard during my high school years said they these two have no connections. Plus Saddam and Osama Bin Laden aren’t the best of friends. Four years later, the war in Iraq still continues. Bush pretty much brings terrorists and violence into Iraq. Thanks Bush, now, this country is in the midst of civil war. It has been four years, we’re still unable to capture the number one world’s wanted man. Democrats and others are seeing the lights that the Iraq war is going nowhere. Yet, war supporters are telling me and other anti-war supporters to go get some education. Maybe, they are the ones that should go get some lessons on how to get out of Bush’s war propaganda. We go to the war on terrorism to catch Osama not invading Iraq, right?

It is clear. Bush doesn’t know what he is doing. He’s being cornered by the Democrats and the American people. I don’t know why you, Bush supporters are still on his side.

So my question to Bush supporters: What on earth are you thinking? Why are you still supporting this man?

Face it! The Iraq War is going nowhere

No matter how many times the Democrats are going to pass a bill with a timetable for troops to leave Iraq, President Bush is going to veto it. No matter how many soldiers are going to die, Bush won’t listen.

It is clear to many of us that the 2006 election outcome doesn’t send our lovely and stubborn President the message. Americans are sick and tired of the war. We want out, period. Bush loves to give two excuses: (1) If we leave Iraq now, terrorists will come back and attack the United States again and (2) by leaving Iraq, it will send a message to Al-Qaeda that they have won. I personally don’t know what the prize is if either the United States or the terrorists win on this so-called “War on Terror” and the war in Iraq. More 3,000 U.S soldiers died there. Don’t you think, it’s time to start to leave and let the Iraqis run the country?

The United States is going nowhere when it comes to the Iraq War because both sides aren’t listening to each other. President Bush has to realize what the Americans want. It seems to me that Bush prolongs this process because he doesn’t know what to do or how to deal with Iraq.  Probably, his plan is to let the troops stay in the war zone until the next President comes it and finish it up, what a loser.

Both parties need to come together to deal on this issue. I don’t think the world can wait until the 2008 elections. The President needs to learn how to compromise. Bush, you want the money? You will get the money if you approve to the timetable.

Just think about it.

McCain is simply wrong on Iraq…

In reaction to the Democrats strong stance against Bush’s war, McCain has followed the steps of our commander in chief in calling out the Democrats,  saying in prepared remarks…

“Democrats, who deny our soldiers the means to prevent an American defeat, have chosen another road…It may appear to be the easier course of action but it is a much more reckless one, and it earns them no credit even if it gives them an advantage in the next election. This is an historic choice, with ramifications for Americans not yet born.”

I must emphasize…There is no militrary solution to the crisis in Iraq. American troops are stuck in the middle of a Civil War, and the best thing we can do for our military [and our interests in the region] is to pull our combat troops out of Iraq, give them time to rest and re-arm, and re-deploy them to Lebanon, Jordan, and Kuwait to allow the Iraqi’s to handle themselves, while ensuring that Iran and Saudi Arabia dont get pulled into a regional war.

Opponents to what i have said argue that to pull out American troops would allow Iraq to fall into the hands of terrorists. I contest this argument strongly. Already, Iraqis are starting to resent the presence of Al Qaeda in their country; they are more concerned with fighting eachother than fighting Americans. They simply view us as an occupier to their land. If we leave their land, they will not follow us to the United States, they will focus on being able to fight their own war that has been going on for the better part of a thousand years.

We may be hit, however, by angry muslims of other nations that have become enflamed at the fact that the United States now occupies a muslim country and has waged a war that has knocked the coutry back – ecnomically, socially, and politically - 100 years.

I find it disconcerting that while McCain was giving his speech proclaiming that the surge “is working” that the cameras scrolled back to expose that he was being guarded by scores of armed and armored soldiers, and that the following day, those Iraqi civilians that appeared with McCain were rounded up and executed.

It is true that violence, abductions, and murder have gone down in Baghdad, but the levels of these violent crimes have skyrocketed in the neighboring cities from which over 30,000 american soldiers were taken to feed this “surge.”

Each day, I become more and more worried about the future of this nation, and its power to take upon its leadership role around the world, and how this is being thwarted by the debacle of Iraq.  With this war, America has become alienated amongst the Western powers and lost its ability to lead the world into a cause because it is “the right thing to do.”

What is Bush going to do now?

The last ally to a “failed war” has announced its plan to leave Iraq. The British Prime Minister Tony Blair will began to pull the British troops out of Iraq. According to the BBC report, the first 1,500 of 7,100 British troops will leave Iraq in several week. By Christmas, there will be about 3,000 soldiers left in Iraq.

What is President Bush going to do now? Blair’s decision has sent the message to Bush that the war in Iraq is going no where. To me, it seems that this war is no longer about fighting against terrorism and prevent terrorists from hurting the United States. Now, it is more about how to stabilize Iraq from being taken away by violent groups. Is Bush planning to pull out? At this time, no body wants to have anything to do with our president anymore. The Congress is going against him. Blair is walking out. Clearly, everybody is frustrateded with the war that has no ending. I expect the President to make a press conference to reassure Americans that “we are winning.” I’m sorry but, how does he define winning?

I want to see how he is dealing with this. I don’t think he take it very well because it just proves to everybody that he is an incompetent leader.
