Welcome the New Thai Prime Minister!

What a great day to be a Thai! Finally, the day has come!

The Thai parliament has elected the new Thai Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva or Mark, the leader of the opposition party, Democratic party. Obviously, his election drew anger from Thaksin Sinawatra’s supporters.

As an anti-Thaksin supporter, I am very happy that the parliament has seen the light. I hope that the new Thai Prime Minister can help Thai economy and unite Thailand again. Thaksin has damaged Thailand so much to the point where Thai people are no longer united.

Pro-Thaksin suppoters, see the light and get out of the Thaksin’s evil scheme.

Welcome Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva! I wish you the best of luck!

Iraqi Reporter Throw Shoes at Bush

What a nice way to end George W. Bush presidency!

President Bush visited Iraq unannounced this morning. While he and the Iraqi prime minister were holding a news conference, an Iraqi reporter threw his pair of shoes at President Bush.

The shoes was a size 10.  Throwing shoes at someone is considered to be an insult in Muslim cultures according to CNN report.

I have to say that it was a priceless movement. After what Bush had done in Iraq, I think he deserves it. That Iraqi reporter is the man. You have my respect. I just wish that many Americans can that to Bush too. Trust me, everyone is angry at this man.

Here is the clip. If you can’t see it, click here

Paris Responds to McCain Ad!

McCain, don’t f*** with Paris!

I guess, it was a right thing that Paris Hilton was in jail. She finally has the brain to respond to “that white-haired dude.”  While many of you think I am crazy,  Hilton did an ad in response to John McCain’s “Celebrities” ad. I have to say her ad is awesome. Clearly, it proves to the point that McCain is old. Face it, we don’t want a 70-something year old to lead the country during time of crisis.

I love the ad! By far, it’s Paris’ best performance!

McCain, you’re just too old. Oh, by the way, sir, Czechoslovakia is not a country!

Check it out…

John McCain, the Real Flip-Flopper!

Aside from the fact that he believes that Czechoslovakia is still a country, John McCain is the real flip-flopper in this upcoming election.

Have you noticed how he always changed his position? Instead of me listing them, I am going to let you watch this clip. Hopefully, you will not vote for him in November.

No McCain, No more Bush’s policies!

3 Year-Sentence for Thaksin’s Wife Was Nothing

Source: Manager.co.th

Pojaman Shinawatra, the former Thai prime minister’s (Thaksin’s) wife, was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to three years in prison. She was released on $ 5 million baht or $149,000 bail. The family is planning to appeal the verdict, according to Thai news sources.

The decision of this case is rather surprising and disappointing. By 2001, Thaksin was acquitted on a similar charge. This time around was different. The pro-thaksin government and the Thai judicial system are under the pressure to “make things right.” Yesterday’s verdict was nothing. The court showed that it has the ability to convict anyone regardless of one’s socioeconomic status. However, Thaksin, his wife and his allies are acting above the law. The fact that Pojaman, Thaksin’s wife, was released on a 5 million baht bail bothers me; it’s too little.

The court should have given her the harshest sentence. Compare to how much the Shinawatra stole the money from Thailand–this verdict was nothing. The Shinawatra family stole more than billions of bath from Thailand. Everyone in that family should be in jail for life, period.

What makes me mad the most is that after the verdict, the judge granted the family to go see the Olympics game in China. He allows them to leave Thailand and what happens if they don’t come back to face the court? Remember, Thaksin’s trial starts a few days after the summer Olympics started. Oh, did I mention that he owns a soccer team in England?

Just think about it.

Cuba Allows Free Sex-Change Operation

Who would have thought that Cuba would do this?

Moments ago, the government of Cuba just approved free sex-change operation for qualifying Cubans. It is a clear victory for transsexual Cubans. This move part of President Raul Castro’s policy changes. This legislation has been pushed by his own daughter, Mariela Castro. According to BBC reports, she is the head of the National Center for Sex Education and key figure in pushing for this authorization.

In addition, Mariela is also pushing the state to legalize same sex marriage/union. If this approved, according to BBC reporter Michael Voss, Cuba would be the “most liberal gay rights in Latin America.”

Cuba is a communist state. At the same time, since Raul took over the country, he has been implementing liberal policies. In addition, Cuba has free health care and provided free education for medical students. This news shows Americans that Cuba is moving towards a progressive movement. If Cuba recognized same sex unions, the U.S would be in great shame, don’t you think so?

George Sampson Won Britain’s Got Talent

It’s official, the winner of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent is George Sampson. Sampson, 14 year old who failed to reach the semi-finals last year, has proved everyone wrong. He got the highest vote out of all the final contestants.

I am very happy for him although I was hoping either Andrew Johnston or Faryl Smith to win. Sampson has come so far. His victory in this competition will push him to the next level of dancing. His family will be able to get out of trouble situations. Once again, congratulations, you’re truly deserved it.

Here is his final performance:

Rest without Peace: the injustice of Sean Bell

This picture says it all about the American justice system.

On Friday, April 25, the justice was denied for Sean Bell, an unarmed 23 year-old New Yorker who was shot 50 times by uncovered cops in November 2006. The judge decided to acquit all three NYPD offices of all the charges. For some, it was a day of joy and celebration especially the police. But for others, it was a day of unfair justice.

The court’s decision to free the three officers was a clear sign that it was okay to shot someone 50 times and still able to get away with it. Imagine if these cops were civilians like me and you, I’m pretty sure that they will be put to jail and probably on death row. Sometimes, I wondered what went through the judge’s mind to think that shooting an unarmed man 50 times was not an act of murder. For the defense, self-defense excuse did not add up. How you can call it a self-defense after shooting Bell 50 times? It was murder.

Also, I don’t understand how can Obama and Clinton have the nerves to tell us that they respect the decision of the court! To me, they simply just don’t want to get involved in this conversation and police brutality. Just because we have police to protect us from danger, it doesn’t mean that they can abuse their power to do whatever they please. What this New York judge is doing to these three cops is pretty much telling them  ”Hey, you, cops, are above the law. I will do whatever I can as a judge to protect you.” Politicians must address the issue of police brutality. It can’t be ignored!

Like others, I think the three cops and other cops who involved in the shooting should be punished and removed from their jobs. Cops are civilians. They are humans like us. They should be punished and treated like other criminals. You just don’t defend yourself from unarmed man with 50 gun shots.

Sean Bell will, for now, rest without peace as his family continues to fight for him. I hope that the federal Supreme Court will pick up this case and deliver the verdict I look for…”GUILTY”
