Liberty University has banned the College Democrats. The university Student Affairs Vice President, Mark Hine informed the Brian Diaz, president of the College Democrats, that they could not be recognized by the school. According to Mr. Hine’s email to Mr. Diaz, the university does not support a club “whose parent organization [Democratic Party] stands against the moral principles held by the university.” Mr. Hine also went on further to say, in the email, that the Democratic Party supports abortion, socialism, and the agenda of gay, bisexual and transgender people.
This is pathetic. Students have the right to create a student organization on their campus. The school administration should not engage in the national politics. Students create clubs because they want to have a voice in their university. It is sad that the school administration doesn’t know how to differentiate church and state. Their action clearly states that students have to be Republicans in order to be considered Christians.
Face it, there are many Christians who support the Democratic Party. Why can’t the university let the College Democrats exist?
President Bush visited Iraq unannounced this morning. While he and the Iraqi prime minister were holding a news conference, an Iraqi reporter threw his pair of shoes at President Bush.
The shoes was a size 10. Throwing shoes at someone is considered to be an insult in Muslim cultures according to CNN report.
I have to say that it was a priceless movement. After what Bush had done in Iraq, I think he deserves it. That Iraqi reporter is the man. You have my respect. I just wish that many Americans can that to Bush too. Trust me, everyone is angry at this man.
Many people think U.S is the most democratic nation in the world, I would like to to point out that it is not the case. We can see it through the recent news scandal in Illinois.
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his chief of staff, John Harris are accused of corruption charges. They were arrested and later was released on bonds. According to various news sources, the Department of Justice alleged the Illinois governor attempted to sell the senate seat which was previously held by Barack Obama.
Corruption in the US is nothing new. It’s just people don’t talk about it very often. Plus, it a huge shame that the “most democratic” nation and the world’s superpower would so such a thing. But, face it. It’s true.
If you think Illinois is most corrupted state in the U.S, you are wrong. The most corrupt state in the U.S is North Dakota.
USA Today did an analysis on this topic based on per capital basis. North Dakota population is 639,715. 53 were convicted on corruption. That means, 8 people are convincted on this crime for every 100,000 residents.
It’s very surprising that North Dakota gets this title. I thought it was Louisana. However, it is the second most corrupt state in the country.

Thaksin Shinawatra- the former Prime Minister of Thailand and the current owner of Manchester City football team
Pojaman Shinawatra, Thaksin’s wife.
Don’t be fool by their looks and wealth! They are wanted for corruption. Pojaman was recently convicted on tax evasion and sentenced to three years in prison. However, she was released on a $149,000 bail.
Since the trial, this couple moved to England after attending the Bejing Olympics Opening Ceremony. Thaksin decided not to show up when ordered by the court–he is afraid to face his “crime.” What a jerk….Right now, he and his wife are being wanted in Thailand. The pictures above are their arrest warrants.
Mr. Thaksin, I don’t know how long you are going to hide in England. You can’t be there for long. Remember that you just took out a loan to help fund your football team? Your asserts have been frozen. People are hating your team management! Former staff of Manchester City are going after you. You are ruining Thailand’s and your team’s reputation– you’re not the king! No one wants you.
I guess, it was a right thing that Paris Hilton was in jail. She finally has the brain to respond to “that white-haired dude.” While many of you think I am crazy, Hilton did an ad in response to John McCain’s “Celebrities” ad. I have to say her ad is awesome. Clearly, it proves to the point that McCain is old. Face it, we don’t want a 70-something year old to lead the country during time of crisis.
I love the ad! By far, it’s Paris’ best performance!
McCain, you’re just too old. Oh, by the way, sir, Czechoslovakia is not a country!
Last year Britain’s Got Talent, Connie Talbot and Paul Potts were the stars of the show. Both have released their first albums. This year’s Britain’s Got Talent, I must say, it’s much better!
I have seen watched a bunch of great performers on Youtube. Before I go on to talk about my favorite performer and possible winners of the show, let’s take a look at good performers who will go onto the next round but are unlikely to win.
George Sampson came back for the second time after being rejected from the semi-finals. I have to give him props and respect for never not giving up. Here is his latest audition:
I must say, he is much better than last year. I hope that he will get through the final round.
This one, I really find it entertaining. It’s Signature’s dance act. He imitates Michael Jackson’s dance with a fun twist.
Fun? Yes. Can he win it? I don’t know.
How about great female performers?
Madonna Decena, 32 years old, a club performer. She comes from Philippine six months ago to make money for her children in England. I like her performance.
Faryl Smtih, 12 years old, who has a voice like a grown up woman. Plus, she is very pretty. Here is her opera performance, Ave Maria:
She can sing. She can win this. She will be a future superstar!
The next one, it’s 10 year-old Charlie Green who is, if not mistaken, half British and half Filipino. He is very cute and has a charm like a superstar. Check it out:
This kid can sing. I’m telling right now, in the future, he will be a handsome singer. He maybe the next Michael Bublé.
My prediction: Green and Smith will go into the final round against….Andrew Johnston
13 year-old, Johnston has been bullied all his life because of his singing style. You can tell from his audition that he is lack of confidence due to his horrible experience. I have great respect for this boy because he refuses to give up his passion for singing despite what bullies have said to him.
Here is his audition
Smith, Green and Johnston are my favorite and best performers for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. The competition will go down between Smith and Johnston.
My prediction is Andrew Johnston will win. He has won my heart and other 3 million Youtube users. I am cheering for him. Smith will get a record deal from Simon Cowell. I can’t be wrong.
Andrew Johnston and Faryl Smith will be the next Britain’s Got Talent stars!
Do John Edwards and Barack Obama really want to win?
Since the summer, Sen. Edwards and Sen. Obama have been attacking Sen. Hillary Clinton on various issues from immigration to her health care plan. It never seemed to stop, right? Hopefully, attacks against Clinton will end soon.
Thursday’s night Democratic Presidential debate in Las Vegas has proven that it is time for these two senators to stop bashing Clinton. Audience booed whenever Edwards and Obama started to say negative things about her. Potential voters are sick and tied of attacks on Clinton.
Attacks on Clinton show that Edwards and Obama do not have anything to say. Face it, if they want to win, they should be spending more time talking about their plans for America and not how bad Sen. Clinton is.
If they want to beat Clinton, they need to stop attacking her, period.
Pro-Democracy and Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi met with military junta leader today according to the New York Times.
The meeting is a symbolic gesture in response to the international community about the violence in late September. Burmese military junta is still in power and continues to use violence against people who want democracy in the country. Clearly, the junta is not going to step down anytime soon. Suu Kyi will always remain in the house arrest as long as the military junta is in power.
Today’s meeting doesn’t mean anything. Overall, it’s a staged meeting in which to show the soft side of the Burmese military junta.
Aung San Suu Kyi won the election in 1990 and has never served as Burmese Prime Minister. The junta placed her under house arrest because the junta leaders are afraid of losing power to a woman who has great visions for her beloved country, Burma.
It is time for the international community to come together and pressure the military junta to free Suu Kyi. She will be the first step towards democracy in Burma if she is freed.
Despite a horrible music video, Britney Spears is manage to survive all the criticisms by the media and bloggers including me. Spears’ new album is coming out on October 30th. Let me tell you, This album will worth your money.
The majority of her songs reminds me of Fergie but who cares? Spears’ 12 new songs are better than I expected. There are more catchy songs and beats than her old ones. I like all of them.
I give it 7/10 just because she kind of copied Fergie’s music style.
