Welcome the New Thai Prime Minister!

What a great day to be a Thai! Finally, the day has come!

The Thai parliament has elected the new Thai Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva or Mark, the leader of the opposition party, Democratic party. Obviously, his election drew anger from Thaksin Sinawatra’s supporters.

As an anti-Thaksin supporter, I am very happy that the parliament has seen the light. I hope that the new Thai Prime Minister can help Thai economy and unite Thailand again. Thaksin has damaged Thailand so much to the point where Thai people are no longer united.

Pro-Thaksin suppoters, see the light and get out of the Thaksin’s evil scheme.

Welcome Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva! I wish you the best of luck!

Thaksin, Be a Man!

Have you seen the following individuals?

Thaksin Shinawatra- the former Prime Minister of Thailand and the current owner of Manchester City football team

Pojaman Shinawatra, Thaksin’s wife.

Don’t be fool by their looks and wealth! They are wanted for corruption. Pojaman was recently convicted on tax evasion and sentenced to three years in prison. However, she was released on a $149,000 bail.

Since the trial, this couple moved to England after attending the Bejing Olympics Opening Ceremony. Thaksin decided not to show up when ordered by the court–he is afraid to face his “crime.” What a jerk….Right now, he and his wife are being wanted in Thailand. The pictures above are their arrest warrants.

Mr. Thaksin, I don’t know how long you are going to hide in England. You can’t be there for long. Remember that you just took out a loan to help fund your football team? Your asserts have been frozen. People are hating your team management!  Former staff of Manchester City are going after you. You are ruining Thailand’s and your team’s reputation– you’re not the king! No one wants you.

Be a man and face the crime! Don’t be a woman…

3 Year-Sentence for Thaksin’s Wife Was Nothing

Source: Manager.co.th

Pojaman Shinawatra, the former Thai prime minister’s (Thaksin’s) wife, was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to three years in prison. She was released on $ 5 million baht or $149,000 bail. The family is planning to appeal the verdict, according to Thai news sources.

The decision of this case is rather surprising and disappointing. By 2001, Thaksin was acquitted on a similar charge. This time around was different. The pro-thaksin government and the Thai judicial system are under the pressure to “make things right.” Yesterday’s verdict was nothing. The court showed that it has the ability to convict anyone regardless of one’s socioeconomic status. However, Thaksin, his wife and his allies are acting above the law. The fact that Pojaman, Thaksin’s wife, was released on a 5 million baht bail bothers me; it’s too little.

The court should have given her the harshest sentence. Compare to how much the Shinawatra stole the money from Thailand–this verdict was nothing. The Shinawatra family stole more than billions of bath from Thailand. Everyone in that family should be in jail for life, period.

What makes me mad the most is that after the verdict, the judge granted the family to go see the Olympics game in China. He allows them to leave Thailand and what happens if they don’t come back to face the court? Remember, Thaksin’s trial starts a few days after the summer Olympics started. Oh, did I mention that he owns a soccer team in England?

Just think about it.

At least 88 died from the Phuket Plane Crash

A low-cost airline, One-Two Go flight OG 269 attempted to land in Phuket International Airport during a heavy rain. It turned out to be a fatal mistake.

At least 88 died and 43 injured from this tragedy. According to the Manager.co.th, Thai online newspaper, One-Two Go airline is recognized as the best domestic low-cost carrier in Thailand. However, according to the New York Times article, South Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation issued a warning last year to Orient Thai whose owns One-Two Go about frequent delays and safety measures.

Thai officials promised to investigate on this matter. The Phuket International Airport remains closed until the authorities are able to take the plane wreckage out of the runway.

The Best Thai Drafted Constitution Yet!

Thaksin Shinawatra’s lovers and supporters may say that the lasted draft constitution is horrible and less democratic because it limits the prime minister to a two four-year term. On the other hand, the BBC called this an anti-Thaksin constitution in which I partially agree with.

Thailand’s latest drafted constitution came after the coup in 2006 after the then-prime minister and the current Man City owner, Mr. Shinawatra stole Thailand’s money and abused his power to the fullest extent. Sure, he is popular amongst the poor but for people who are educated and follow the news like me know that this ex- prime minister is horrible. While claiming his innocence for corruption, he still afraid to go back to Thailand after the court ordered him to, what a chicken.

The latest draft constitution limits prime minister to a two four-year terms and bans him/her from major holdings in private companies, BBC reports. This goal is to prevent the future prime minister from abusing his power in order to gain personal profits. At this point, the pro-Thaksin groups are working on to educate people to reject this drafted constitution because according to them, this is written by the junta.

If the pro-Thaksin supporters can see and at least open the eyes, the coup would not have transpired if Thaksin did not commit corruption and steal Thai’s resources and assets. The junta is there to fix the problem and try to restore Thailand back to normal.

Dear Man City Fans, Don’t Listen to Thaksin…that much

Ousted Prime Minister and the owner of Manchester City Thaksin Shinawatra assured the fans of Man City about the money that he used to purchase the team. According to the Nation’s report (read the story click here), Shinawatra said that he took the money out of Thailand long time ago, long before the coup and with the permission. Shinawatra who has asked Man City fans to called him “Mr.Sinatra” insisted his innocence on the corruption charges.

Thaksin said:

Please tell the fans that the events in Thailand are not happening in a democratic way. I was a democratically elected leader ousted by a military dictator. Now everything in Thailand is under a military dictatorship. It will be back to normal when democracy returns to Thailand in December. I hope that justice will prevail after that, but everything they do is politically motivated.

I don’t know why Shinawatra or Mr.Sinatra kept insisting that he was elected through a process of democracy when he paid people to vote for him. It seems to me that Man City’s Mr. Sinatra knows what he is doing. He is making himself look more like a victim when he is the one taking away Thai’s money. Long before the coup occurred, Shinawatra was accused on corruption. I watched one of his speeches he made in 2005 on ASTV, Thai news channel.  He said to the people of Thailand that he would never leave the country no matter what happen because “I didn’t do anything wrong. There’s no point of running away when I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Well, look at Thaksin now, he is running away, living in England. Mr.Sinatra should go back to Thailand, face the charges and stop telling the British that he is innocent. Also, one last thing I’d like to point out, Thailand does not run by military dictatorship. It runs by an intrim government. So guys, don’t listen to Thaksin…that much.

University of Tokyo & Man City, Tell Thaksin to go home and face reality

To the University of Tokyo, what on earth are you thinking? Why are you allowing this man, ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to be a guest lecturer? Do you know that he is going to give lies and false information about Thailand to you? Your students will more likely to be falsely educated by Mr. Thaksin because he will be giving a presentation in which he will only talk about the good things (i.e. how he got Thailand out of IMF debt, and the 30 baht health care system) that he did while ignoring all the things that he did wrong.

To Manchester City, you are blind by the money to let Thaksin place his bid for your soccer team.

Since the coup in September 2006, billionaire and ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has been traveling between China and England, making public appearances talking to college student how great he was and how he became the victim of the coup, playing golf and talking to members of his political party Thai-rak-Thai how get his power back in China, and making business deal with Manchester City. It seems to me that Mr. Thaksin does not want to go back to Thailand and face the reality that he is no longer a great/good prime minister. Thaksin is the man that divided the country apart because of his war on drugs policies which killed many innocent people in various parts of the country especially the Southern part of Thailand.  He is also the one who sets the law that removed a 25% limit on foreign ownership of Thai telecommunications companies. This allows him to sell his share to Singapore without a problem. The ousted prime minister abused his power as the leader of Thailand to do business deals with others in hopes to make a lot of money for himself while poor and middle class Thais are suffering.

There is one thing that I do not understand, why is Thaksin afraid of going back to Thailand? Why can’t he just face the charges accused by the junta government? Instead of acting like man, he is more like a woman. He created a blog telling people how much he misses Thailand and that he would like to come back. The junta government allows him to come back. Why does not he? If Mr. Thaksin did not break the Thai laws, then go back and clear them. Don’t stay in England and stop making media presence. The University of Tokyo and Manchester City are giving this man who ruined Thailand a chance to send a dirty message that no one can get him because he is rich and out of the country. Please do me and all the Thai people a favor, fire him, get him out and ship him back to Thailand for me.

Thank you.
